- Summary of the book
A girl named Alexandra Winslow who abandoned by her mother at a young age takes comfort in mystery books that she reads with her father, soon she was writing her own stories. Alex lived in a convent with nuns after her father had died. She writes under an assumed name as her father told her that men only read thrillers by men. She leads a double life keeping a secret about her life as a professional writer causing her to be isolated.
- My review of the book
At the very start of the book, the author writes in a way that makes a reader want to continue reading so much so that it makes it impossible to put the book down. The book has a good storyline. While reading the book, it would feel as you have entered a world where Alex is a real girl and that the book is a true story. However, towards the end of the book, the storyline was not as intriguing as it was at the start and the ending of the book felt like rushed it was not a happy ending nor an ending that readers would be satisfied with. Overall the book was well written, and I would strongly encourage you to read it.
